Sweet dreams are made of these
We had our first meeting with Vivian at the Earshot Cafe within the Arts House today. It was a really fruitful session, with Vivian sharing her knowledge about issues such as recording methods and distribution deals.
It feels great to have someone with the experience and contacts to guide us in the right direction, as we've really got a great deal more to learn about putting together an album here in Singapore.
The journey ahead seems somewhat daunting, but something tells me we'll get there.

Our First Gig at Rock Your World is Confirmed!!!
Good news!!! We have finally tied down our first gig with Rock Your World, the series of performances organised in conjuction with the Speak Good English Movement 2007! This year, unlike previous years, the movement is targeted at the youths in the country to encourage all of us to speak proper english! So start speaking properly now! While we wait for the gig on the 24th of October 2007 (Wednesday), 7.30pm, @ Timbre. Do drop by on wednesdays at Timbre as there will be other fantastic bands playing every wednesday! Thanx Aloysius from the SGEM Committee for the chance to promote the importance of speaking good english!!!

Weekend trivia
3 of us went down to Home Club last night to catch The Lentor Incident. They were pretty awesome, and we stayed on for a set by Serenaide too.
We also managed to pick up a CD recording of our performance at Home Club not too long ago, so I'll try to rip individual songs and upload them online soon!
If you haven't noticed, we've made some changes to our myspace page, such as uploading new photos and updating our profile description.
Oh and here's the poster for Rock Your World, an initiative by the Speak Good English Movement that we're now officially part of!

Both sides now
The good news? We made it through the Noise Singapore auditions and will be having our first meeting with Vivian Wang from The Observatory next Tuesday.
The bad news? We expected gigs after Baybeats to be better. Much better.

New developments
We attended 2 events tonight: a briefing for the Speak Good English Movement, and an interview to be part of Noise Singapore.
Basically, we'll be performing at Timbre and hitting 98.7FM airwaves pretty soon! And if we get chosen for Noise Singapore, we'll be rubbing shoulders with renown local musicians like Joe Ng and Vivian from The Observatory!
On a more immediate note, we'll be performing for NTU's Heritage Walk this coming Thursday night. So see you there!

Hey Mr DJ
Thanks to Technorati, we've just found out that "My Brown Lollipop" has made it to a track list compiled by a certain DJ Sonny from Thailand.
Though we're not too sure how we got there, being mentioned in the same breath as The White Stripes and Amy Winehouse can't be a bad thing!

There's a new one!
We wrote a new song while jamming earlier! We tried to break out of our usual songwriting pattern, and I must say that it's definitely a step in the right direction!
By the way, we now have more than 200 friends and 4000 profile views on myspace! Keep them coming!

Status Quo
So JASH went pretty well, with the crowd lapping up our cover of "Umbrella". It amazes me how I'm still not sick of the original song despite hearing it everywhere everyday. And it's crazy how the YouTube video of us performing it at Home Club has exceeded 2,000 hits!
Up next: a gig for the NTU Heritage Walk on 23rd August (Thursday) and a long-awaited gig at DXO, Esplanade on 1st September (Saturday).
Stay tuned for more details!

Baybeats Photos Part 2
After our performance, we had the honour of being interviewed by Channel V.
According to the VJ, the 2 programmes we're featured in should be airing in less than 2 weeks time!

Bye Bye Baybeats
And so the big day came and went.
We were hoping to start performing later than the scheduled 6.30pm, but to our initial dismay, the organisers made sure that we didn't start a minute later.
Thankfully, a reasonable crowd emerged the moment the emcees took to the stage. The weather was excellent too, and we managed to deliver what I think was one of our best gigs ever.
To all fans, friends and family who came down to support us, thank you for coming down. Seeing numerous familiar faces in the crowd definitely helped to spur us on.
Now that Baybeats is out of the way and school is reopening next week, things will be winding down around here significantly. Nevertheless, we're excited about post-Baybeats developments, including a gig at Nanyang Auditorium next Monday for NTU freshies and stepping into the studio for what will eventually be our debut album.
In the meantime, we're extremely proud to announce that our cover of Rihanna's "Umbrella" has accumulated more than 1,200 hits on YouTube in less than a week!
And if you missed us at Baybeats (shame on you), watch this space for upcoming photos and videos of our gig...
