Uncle dances to Lemonade!

He's a regular at local gigs.

He's really good at dancing spontaneously.

And he's the uncle I'll always remember for giving us one of our best gigs yet.

Lyrics for "So Love!"

So the day is ending, here you are again
There’s something about the way you make me lose control
And take me everywhere, that I wouldn’t go

Wanna be your man, your small male man
Standing all the way until the final band
Comes rockin’ our world, like The Killers did

Soon we’ll have a place here, to call our very own
We can lie around until the break of dawn
And no one can decide, when we’ll say goodbye

How could I, how could I be better off without you here
I could say, I could say that we have nothing much to fear
I will do, everything that’s need to
Make it through, all the photos with you

So the night is ending, we don’t wanna part
Even though we’re tired after all that fun
Just one more kiss goodnight, and I’ll have to go

How could I, how could I be better off without you here
I could say, I could say that we have nothing much to fear
I will do, everything that’s need to
Make it through, all the photos with you

Look at what they’re saying, oh so love (x4)
Look at what they’re doing, oh so love (x4)
Look at how they’re feeling, oh so love (x4)

How could I, how could I, how could I, how could I be better off without you here
I could say, I could say, I could say, I could say that we have nothing much to fear

So Love!

Our Esplanade gig on Sunday was arguably one of the best we've had in quite a while.

I really like performing on the new Outdoor Stage, particularly for the sound system and how the venue seems to attract an audience that's appreciate of 'live' music by default.

The high points of the gig were provided by an uncle who spontaneously danced to our faster numbers, much to the amusement of ourselves and the audience. We got to speak to the uncle after we got off stage, and his zest for dancing was really endearing =)

Here's our set list for the gig, which was deliberately different from our usual one. For instance, we closed with "Crowded" for the first time!

1. Go Away
2. Stranger
3. Someday Somehow
4. Lemonade
5. If It Wasn't For You
6. Waiting For Friday
7. Lollipop
8. So Love!
9. Crowded

If "So Love!" doesn't look familiar, that's because it's the brand new name for the "new song that sounds like a Japanese anime theme song"!

The song's been in my head all day, and personally, it's one of my favourite songs of ours, along with "If It Wasn't For You" and "Lemonade"...

If you like the video, do help us to spread the word! I'll be posting up the lyrics of the song soon.

Next up? A private wedding gig for a friend of Jianping's next Friday night!

Hello people! We'll be performing at the Esplanade Outdoor Stage this coming Sunday (16th August) at 7.30pm. If you missed us at Republic Poly's IGNITE!, we hope to see you this weekend!

More details of the gig here: http://www.esplanade.com/whats_on/programme_info/the_new_generation/index.jsp

In other news, we've uploaded a track from our upcoming debut album onto our MySpace account: http://www.myspace.com/kingkongjane

The song is called "Stranger", and some of you may have heard us performing it at previous gigs before. So while we take our own sweet time to work on the rest of the album, we hope you like this sneak preview of sorts!
