Less than a week later, we found ourselves on a plane to Jakarta, where we eventually performed for the inaugural ASEAN Youth-Cultural Exchange Festival. (more about the festival HERE)
It's always been one of our dreams to perform overseas, so being selected to represent Singapore at such a prestigious festival was really exciting for us as a band. In all, we spent 3 days and 2 nights in Ancol, Jakarta, where we...
- were treated like rock stars (there were police cars leading the way for our bus!)
- rubbed shoulders with Indonesian diplomats (meals with governors and ministers!)
- made friends with regional bands (such as the talented boys from Indonesian band Meet Me By Sunrise)
- performed 'Waiting For Friday', 'If It Wasn't For You' and our cover of Rihanna's 'Umbrella'
